Roller Derby bashing into Ararat

Roller Derby
BallaFornia’s own Rat Pack will soon be singing a song of victory when they bring the first roller derby game to the Wimmera.

The Ararat Council recently asked the Ballarat Roller Derby League  to dip their wheeled toes into the rural city’s waters to test our country cousin’s Derby-lust.

The Rat Pack were more than happy to oblige, and, in partnership with the Council and the Grampians YMCA, they are inviting the Wimmera community to go and see what Australia’s fastest growing sport is all about.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to see a game of Roller Derby – well, get your skates on Ararat! It’s coming your way: Sunday, November 24, YMCA, 61-73 High St.

There will also be opportunities to try roller skating after the game, skates and gear will be provided by BRDL.
